Exclusive direct current furnace agreement

An exclusive agreement ? has been reached? between Tenova Pyromet and GLPS Project Management & Engineering Services to offer dc furnace technology to the global ferroalloys and base metals markets.

Each of the companies provides a range of services, technology and experience, which all provide a com-prehensive service to customers seeking smelting furnace technology.

The partners foresee that the unique benefits provided by dc furnace technology for the production of ferroalloys and base metals will ensure growth in demand for this technology.

Over the past 67 years, Tenova Pyromet has devel-oped, designed, supplied, erected and commissioned electric smelting furnaces for the ferroalloys and base metals industry, with a record of successful projects.

Established in 1993, GLPS has been extensively involved in dc furnace technology development and implement-ation, which has led to its dc furnace technology being patented. ?This technology has been successfully applied to fur-naces ranging from 10 MW to 60 MW. ?The company has extensive experience in providing pro-fessional project management, engineering and design ser-vices to the smelting industry.
